How We Chose Tatva’s Fragrance: The Meaning Behind Each Note (Sandalwood, Camphor, Tulsi, Jasmine)

Posted on August 22 2025, By: Pavan Jakka

When we began creating Tatva, we didn’t want just another room freshener. We wanted something deeply personal. Something that didn’t just smell nice, but also meant something. That journey led us to four ingredients that are more than just scents. They are memories. They are rituals. They are part of our collective heritage.

Sandalwood

The foundation of Tatva's fragrance. Sandalwood is warm, grounding, and sacred. In Indian homes, it’s used in everything from pooja rituals to Ayurveda. It calms the mind and creates a sense of stillness — perfect for setting the mood in living spaces, bedrooms, or meditation corners.

Camphor

A familiar scent from temples and traditional aartis. Camphor clears the air, both literally and spiritually. It’s known for its purifying effect and its crisp aroma helps reset the energy in any room. We included it to give Tatva a subtle awakening quality, like opening a window after a long day.

Tulsi (Holy Basil)

Known as the queen of herbs, tulsi brings freshness and vitality. It's revered for its medicinal qualities and emotional significance. Growing a tulsi plant at home is considered sacred in Indian households. We chose tulsi for its green, slightly sweet scent that adds lightness to the blend and reminds you of clean courtyards and early mornings.

Jasmine

The soft finishing touch. Jasmine is floral, romantic, and full of soul. It's a scent that lingers — not in a loud way, but like a gentle memory. It ties the other notes together and gives Tatva a comforting, everyday charm.

We didn’t pick these ingredients at random. Each one was chosen to evoke a sense of calm, purity, and belonging. When you spray Tatva, you're not just freshening a room. You're inviting a story into your space. A story made of scent, silence, and tradition.

Tatva is our way of blending ancient rituals with modern living. It’s free from gas, phthalates, and parabens. What you get is a mindful, beautifully balanced room mist that respects your air and your attention.

Because your space deserves more than synthetic bursts. It deserves care. It deserves Tatva.
