Why We Created Tatva: The Story Behind a Calmer, Safer Room Spray
Posted on August 15 2025,
It didn’t start as a product idea. It started with a feeling. A sense that every time we sprayed a typical room freshener, something felt off. The fragrance was too sharp, the after-smell synthetic, and worst of all, we didn’t know what we were actually breathing in.
So we started asking questions.
- Why are room sprays packed with gas propellants?
- Why do they smell overpowering and artificial?
- Why are ingredients like phthalates, parabens, and petroleum-based solvents still the norm?
- And most importantly — what would a truly mindful, clean, and soul-soothing room spray feel like?
That’s how Tatva was born.
We Wanted Something That Respected the Space It Was Used In
Homes are sacred spaces — not just physical, but emotional. They're where we pray, rest, host loved ones, and unwind from chaotic days. It didn’t make sense to fill that space with aggressive chemicals.
We wanted to create a product that was safe for pooja rooms, nurseries, bedrooms — anywhere you value peace.
So we made Tatva:
- Gas-free, because we didn’t want flammable propellants in your home
- Phthalate and paraben free, because your lungs deserve better
- Inspired by Indian temples, with sandalwood, tulsi, camphor, and jasmine
- Blended with perfumer’s alcohol, not petroleum-based solvents
The Ritual of Fragrance, Reimagined
We believe scent isn’t just a utility. It’s a ritual. A way to connect, to soothe, to reset the mood in your space. Tatva isn’t just another room spray — it’s a calm-inducing mist rooted in tradition and crafted with care.
Why It Matters
The home fragrance industry often overlooks one thing: the air you breathe matters. We use room sprays regularly — sometimes even daily. That means what goes in the bottle is as important as what goes into your food or skincare.
With Tatva, we chose to do the right thing, not the easy thing. No shortcuts. No cheap fillers. No vague labels.
Final Thought
Tatva is more than a product. It’s our way of saying: your home deserves calm, not chemicals.
We created Tatva because we couldn’t find anything like it — and maybe you couldn’t either.
